Firstly may we thank White Notley for letting us bring this fixture forward to the midweek as it helped us out with player unavailability for the Saturday game.
Also it is always good to visit Notley, with their impressive set up and pitch,
Neil and David are always there in the bar for a welcoming chat and a pint after the game too.
Moving the fixture did give us a problem on the night as a few of our boys could not make the early kick off, but our squad showed depth as Ad, Vincey, Mel, Huwesy and Stalley all stepped up to the plate in a solid performance.
Preston was on the bench (along with the gaffer who luckily didn't have to come on) and Meady put in a fine performance in the sticks as stand in 'Schmicheal'.

Match Report - First Team v University of Essex
Colne welcomed Uni for a mid table battle for the 8th spot.
The hosts were without Marcus who was selected for the Rep side, and Mini who was injured.
Uni grabbed the lead when Colne failed to meet a header on the left and the cross in was dispatched.
Pistol equalised with a shot after a goalmouth scramble which the linesman flagged had just crossed the line.
Uni went ahead with a well worked move, and later in the half added another after a stray pass was picked up by the visitors, and the talented Uni winger showed great feet and gave Boggy no chance for a 3-1 interval lead.
A reshape at the break saw the hosts go 4-4-2 with Sheffield coming onto the left wing replacing Jordy.
