Colne put in a much better performance despite losing to a strong Gas Rec side.

Colne started the brighter and caught Gas out a couple of times with pacey runs from Exley and Mead, but failed to beat the visiting keeper. Exley was held back when ready to shoot resulting in a free kick which didn't bear any result.

Gas got their rhythm going and were 2 up at the break. An early goal in the second period could have seen Colne heads drop, but this was not the case, and despite Gas getting a late 4th, Colne had the better of the last 15 minutes, creating good chances and the Gas keeper somehow keeping out a shot from Taylor that would have reflected better on the scoreline.
